Job summary:<\/strong><\/p>\n

Bayader, in partnership with Catholic Relief Services (CRS) and Development and Peace Canada (D&P) is in the process to start implementation of the\u00a0SAFER HOMES: \u00a0Shelter Rehabilitation and NFIs project<\/strong>, funded by Global Affairs Canada (GAC).<\/p>\n

The objective of the project is to provide rehabilitation assistance to 300 households living in substandard conditions in Khan Younis governorate-prioritizing 60 female headed households-with an option to purchase essential NFIs. The project features a gender-responsive approach where each household is accompanied by a gender-balanced intern team throughout the rehabilitation process.<\/p>\n

Within this project Bayader is recruiting candidates for the following position:<\/p>\n

Position Title:<\/strong>\u00a0Site Engineer \u2013 Full time<\/p>\n

Place:<\/strong>\u00a0Bayader Office, Khan Younis<\/p>\n

Reports To:<\/strong>\u00a0Project Coordinator (PC).<\/p>\n

Key Responsibilities<\/strong>:<\/p>\n

Conduct social and technical assessments for potential beneficiary households<\/li>\n
Lead consultation discussions with households to identify rehabilitation needs<\/li>\n
Conduct regular field visits to project site locations.<\/li>\n
Maintain up-to-date documents and records related to all aspects of duties and responsibilities.<\/li>\n
Assist in on-going collection of data-monitoring.<\/li>\n
.Follow up construction and rehabilitation activities.<\/li>\n
Ensure safety and security standards of construction and rehabilitation activities.<\/li>\n
Perform any other tasks required by the PC.<\/li>\n
Liaising with NGO\u2019s, client and subcontractors.<\/li>\n

Ensure the engagement of all household members in the discussion of the rehabilitation plans.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

Bachelor degree in Civil or Architectural engineering.<\/li>\n
Two years of professional experience in similar project.<\/li>\n
Ensuring project meet agreed specifications and timeline.<\/li>\n
Knowledge of donor regulations and compliance.<\/li>\n
Excellent reporting and formal writing skills in both English and Arabic.<\/li>\n
Good computer literacy.<\/li>\n
Ability to work under pressure and within a team.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n
